My Son Witnessed Lives Transformed in Thailand!
Dear Mission Partners,
Something personally very special to me in Thailand was having my son, Elijah Kolenda, who is also an evangelist, join me in ministry. Elijah graduated from the CfaN Evangelism Bootcamp in 2023. Praise God for His faithfulness throughout the generations!
I asked Elijah to write to you about his experience of ministering in Thailand last week.
“My father, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, preached a powerful message. Everyone that night heard a crystal-clear Gospel message, and with the Holy Spirit’s help, many people were drawn to come to the front and receive eternal salvation in Christ Jesus, all with tears in their eyes, and hands lifted high.
After this, I had the honor of praying for the sick. I tell you, in a land full of idols and evil spirits, Jesus shows off! Many, many miracles took place of all kinds.
During testimony time, I met an older woman named Sommai, who for 2 years suffered from severe pain, unable to move her back. She said she had a herniated disc on the right side. However, when we prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, all that pain left her body. Upon asking her to rate the pain, she said that before it was a 10/10. But now, that pain has reduced to a zero. She said happily, “Jesus healed me!” We went on to dance on stage, throwing her cane away as she had no use of it any longer.
Another testimony we received that night was of a lady named Yay Bunrot. When we asked her what was wrong in her body, she said both of her eyes were blind, with the right eye being completely blind, and the left partially so. But now, she was claiming she could see perfectly! Though she had already exhibited her healing by telling everyone how handsome I was in the microphone (that really happened, ha ha!), I decided to still test it on stage. I stood farther away, holding up finger numbers for her to call out. I had her cover the left eye and use only the right eye, formerly completely blind. With each test, she could see the number clearly and called it out to the crowd.
After taking testimonies, I told the crowd that if they still had not yet received their healing, they were welcome to come to the front, where I could lay hands on them. Many came forward, and as I made my way through the crowd, I saw many more get healed!
One such notable example was a man by the name of Bonchai. When I first came to him, I tried asking him what was wrong with his body. But I quickly found out that he was mute and unable to speak. So, together with my translator, we began to pray for him right there in the crowd. Then, I told him to speak in the name of Jesus, and to say the name of Jesus. To our overwhelming delight, he began to utter that wonderful name. This man, who had been unable to speak just two minutes prior, was now repeating words after the translator, learning to enunciate right there on the spot, and the name of Jesus was the first word he learned. The joy on his face was palpable. I welled up in tears as he would look to the sky, lift his hands, and laugh gleefully at his healing. While this encounter with Jesus most certainly changed his life, I can confidently say it changed mine as well.
The light of the Gospel shines!
So, in a land gripped by the hand of Buddhism, the light of the Gospel shines on all who hear it. Suddenly religion falters, hopeless devotion to spirits and household gods wanes, and the idols that are worshipped in Thailand are exposed to the Thai people as blind, deaf, and mute when they see that our Jesus works real miracles! Because of your prayers and support, the people of Thailand are being shown what a real, living, breathing, and loving God is like.

Miracles in Thailand! - Ubon Ratchathani

This past weekend, I was in the city of Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand, preaching the Gospel in this nation where we are seeing God open doors in supernatural ways. I was joined there by Evangelist Mattheus van der Steen, the director of the CfaN School of Ministry, who has a big heart for Asia.
Evangelist Mattheus van der Steen preached the Gospel with passion on the third night of the crusade.
So Many Miracles!
I wanted to make sure you didn’t miss these amazing testimonies, if you haven’t been following us online over the past few days. The floodgates of heaven opened for the people of Ubon Ratchathani!
Sommai walked with a cane for two years and suffered from severe pain, unable to move her back. Four years ago, she suffered from a herniated disc. Now, Jesus has completely healed her - she can walk without pain and without a cane, and her pain level is now zero. It was ten before she said. She gave her life to the Lord and said, “Jesus healed me!”
Yay Bunrot was partially blind in the left eye and fully blind in the right eye. She said she could now see Evangelist Elijah, and when he held up his fingers, she was able to see how many.
For 10 years, Yay Binkham walked bent over at 90° and had pain in her knees. But tonight, the Lord straightened her back, and she is healed. Now she can bend backwards and forwards, and she can run across the stage.
Four to five years ago, Jeab Andrea had a stroke and paralysis on the left side. She could not jump or lift her arm. But after being prayed for, she can lift her arms, bend, and jump. Jesus is the Healer.
Paw Sang had had a stroke one year ago and could not walk properly. He also suffered from immense headaches and lots of dizziness. Now he feels much better - less tired, and able to walk without a cane. He declared that Jesus healed him.
Bonchai waited the night before after the crusade meeting so that Evangelist Elijah could pray for him. He could not speak at the time as he had had an operation on his vocal cords. Now he can speak again and his arm was healed at the same time! He said that Jesus healed him.
Evangelist Daniel Kolenda took some time to encourage the Thai churches in Bangkok during a Fire Conference before the crusade in Ubon Ratchathani.
